This resin is extracted from the bark of the Dracaena Cinnabari tree and formed into flat cakes. The cakes are also called "Iydaha". They contain impurities and can develop mold - for example, when packaged in plastic bags. The dye is extracted by dissolving in ethyl alcohol.
